We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our tech team. As an Analyst at swipejobs, you will help us analyse large amounts of raw information to find patterns, optimise our performance using large data sets, build data products to extract valuable business insights, analyse trends and help us make better decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead workshops to facilitate product ideation and continuous improvement of our product practice
- Delivering insights and analysis for data across our software
- Detect valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- Perform preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
- Review large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Create predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
- Modify and combine different models through ensemble modelling
- Organise and present information using data visualisation techniques
- Develop and suggest solutions and strategies to business challenges
Experience:
- Hands-on experience in reviewing reports and data to determine if further action is required
- Understanding of how to manage risks and issues, dependencies and change in scope
- Commercial experience managing multiple data focused projects across multi-disciplinary teams
- Good communication, presentation, organisational skills; including the ability to manage changing priorities and meeting deadlines
- Significant experience in data mining, machine-learning and operations research
- Good knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Spark, Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
- Strong math and analytical skills, with business acumen
