We are looking for a Senior Big Data Engineer to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to design multi-tenant data lakes for our Partners, doing statistical analysis and building high quality prediction tools.
To be successful in the role, you’ll have the following technical skills and experience:
- Commercial experience in delivering large enterprise level big data solutions in an extremely fast-paced and extreme agile environment
- Ability to propose solutions and strategies to our business challenges
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive growth
- Provide thought leadership and up-skilling of a team of experienced developers
- Hands-on coding experience with big data platforms; Spark, Scala, Python, Kafka
- Event-driven systems, streaming and real-time analytics
- Have used relational and NoSQL databases and cloud based micro-service infrastructure
- Good communication, presentation, organisational skills; including the ability to manage changing priorities and meeting deadlines
